Salacious title for a contentious post, I know, but as someone who is currently sucking off the public teat through no fault of my own, I feel it both timely and pertinent that I make comment on the current and proposed Job Services Provider platform and the proposed post 1 July 2015 New Employment Services model announced earlier today by this individual.
Lets start a program of revelation of the individual we all know as David William Nicholson Thiessen.
”There is no right to demand from your fellow Australians that just because you don’t want to do a bread delivery or a taxi run or a stint as a farmhand that you should therefore be able to rely on your fellow Australian to subsidise you”. So says Eric Abetz as he attempts to defend the conservative axing of existing newstart arrangements. Thing is, this is oh-so very typical of the conservative mindset which is, as a matter of course, out of touch with reality at the coal-face for the unemployed. Newstart doesn’t simply exist as a salve to leftist consciences, […]
I will rarely promote the works of another blogger, basically because there are very few pieces of writing in the ‘sphere I regard as worth promoting. This piece, however, runs counter to my usually jaundiced opinion of the amateur journalist cadre. Glenn Murray may consider his tome to be just his ramblings, but I find this particular ramble well worth supporting. Kudos, Mr Murray!

As I say, this event rallied people from right across the country. The main element to be taken note of is that these protests were peaceful protests conducted by rational but grossly dissatisfied voters. There was none of the Ditch-the-Witch idiocy, none of the rank […]
“He piled upon the whale’s white hump the sum of all the general rage and hate felt by his whole race from Adam down; and then, as if his chest had been a mortar, he burst his hot heart’s shell upon it.“
For the longest time, from the day Campbell Newman made it known he intended to not just run for State Government, but assume the leadership of the Qld LNP, I have stated that Bjelke-Petersen would once more stalk this state. An online friend of mine, Peter Strempel – a man of far greater intellect than my own and an ability to exercise that intellect in literary form, has penned an essay which covers every thought & opinion I hold, but in a much more lucid manner. I commend to you, dear reader, that essay. CLICK HERE, and read through to the […]
It started not long after the September 7 election, and Australia’s descent into mediocrity.
