The world of women’s professional tennis is worse off today following the resignation of Martina Hingis under a drug cloud.

Hingis, accused of using cocaine during this years Wimbeldon series, is appalled at the finding, claiming innocence and of being ‘set up’.
Maryina has always been my favourite female tennis player, and not only because she’s an absolute stunner. She is also a champion tennis player and one of the very few women tennis players who don’t grunt, shout or otherwise attempt to psyche out their opponents. Her advantage was sheer skill and ability. Sadly, at age 27, her body is letting her down again, and now this so-called drug finding is apparently too much to cope with.
Tennis will miss her.
