It’s time I reiterated some very important community information.
If you’re on Twitter, and you’re Australian, AND you’re interested in politics you’ve undoubtedly cottoned to the hashtag #auspol. It’s a genuine cesspit for the blithely ignorant and maliciously vindictive. The head ignoramus being this seemingly smart-arsed yellow blob character otherwise known as @dotnetnoobie. He’s a rude, obnoxious, short-tempered and so very easily baited son-of-a-bitch, who deliberately seeks out the newer contributors of opinion to the hashtag, who happen not to express the same opinions that he does. His real name is DAVID THIESSEN, he resides at FLAT 1, 19 TILYARD STREET, MONTROSE, TASMANIA. His mobile phone number as recorded by ICANN through GoDaddy is 0450 496 331. This is all public domain info by the way. Anyone with half an ounce of internet savvy can run a WHOIS search on www.dotnetnoobie.com and come up with the same answers I have. Oh, by the way, the GoDaddy listing hasn’t been updated. It still records his previous address from early in 2011. I’ve discovered otherwise, through public domain sources. My message to anyone who has been abused by DAVID THIESSEN to call that mobile number and ask why? I can tell you from personal knowledge that calling an internet troll in the real world is enough to make them shit their panties and go really quiet.
So, why do I bother? Because I can. Because nothing I do is illegal and I access ONLY public domain information. Twitter, in its inimitable way, denies the right of redress to users abused by trolls, so if one feels slighted by these morons, one does what needs to be done. Among many of the obscurities within those Twitter rules:
- You may not impersonate others through the Twitter service in a manner that does or is intended to mislead, confuse, or deceive others
Note, the words ‘defame’, ‘libel’ or ‘misrepresent’ are not any concern of Twitter. It’s a carriage service medium, yet it allows users to abuse that carriage service in any way shape or form, as long as Twitter itself cannot be seen to be held liable.
- You may not publish or post other people’s private and confidential information, such as credit card numbers, street address or Social Security/National Identity numbers, without their express authorization and permission.
So, it’s fine & dandy for me to post my own full name, street address and telephone number, which I have done on numerous occasions, but one must not, under any circumstances, reveal the real individuals behind the libellous, abusive, troll-like nature of disturbing elements like DAVID THIESSEN. Of course, this is my domain, my website & my blog. I can write what I like about whom I like here without fear or favour, as long as I obey the rule of law, which I do to the letter.
- You may not publish or post direct, specific threats of violence against others.
Many of you will know of the username @nsowden. It belongs to this reprobate. He IS a racist arsehole, a bigot and a very young, over-confident, overly-spoiled son of privilege who ought to know better and doesn’t. He doesn’t understand the Twitter rules, clearly has never read them, and has, on numerous occasions, made specific threats of violence against me and many, many others, in public, on Twitter. I’ve reported him, many others have reported him, and yet he refuses to change his spots & Twitter ignores his activities.
Oh, and while we’re on the subject of racism, let me declare this snippet from history. Conservative elements in the ‘sphere seem to find great amusement in the episode, totally out of context, of course. From my perspective, I stand by every single word. I know what happened, first hand. My property, my car, etcetera. There is ONLY one reason Timmy Blair ever attacks a fellow blogger, and that’s in the hope of shutting down someone he perceives to be of the so-called ‘left’, whatever that is. Mind you, when fronted directly, Blair is a coward and will always back down in the face of defamation proceedings. I know, I gave him that option, which I was fully prepared to see through. No prisoners. Do have a read. You won’t be able to access the links within because the domain is long dead, but archive_dot_org has it all. Blair, like his mate Bolt, are transparent like glass and never, ever do their own dirty work. The number of hits on what was ardrighs.com from so-called “rightwing death beasts” – their nominative, not mine – was enough to nearly collapse the domain. Of course, that was entirely Blair’s purpose. It’s how he works. It’s called ‘letting loose the flying monkeys’, for surely these RWDB types have as much intellect.
Back to what this post is all about. It’s all about the internet troll. That breed of Homo Sapiens sapiens that has evolved during the internet age, believing that only their opinion counts and all others need to be ridiculed and hopefully, shut down. These variants are invariably conservative in belief and ideology, which in my experience is indicative of lacking courtesy and courage, exhibiting limited intelligence, bluff, bravado and above all else, a total lack of understanding of genuine debate and the need for civil engagement without resorting to logical fallacy. It’s a simple concept, but conservatives are anything but conceptual. They’re also anything but brave or cogent when found wanting.
This post is all about saying to my fellow blogosphere/twittersphere/internet denizens – the logical kind who are prepared to allow another their opinion without losing their sense of rationality – that trolls like DAVID THIESSEN, Nicholas Sowden and an absolute plethora of other pretenders are quite literally bargain basement buys. Easily had, cheap laughs & eminently disposable. Word to the wise….nothing pisses off a troll more than being ignored. They’ll all try hard to get you to respond, but ignorance of trolls really is bliss.
